Projection Mapping
Over the years I have taken part in several projects where I made compositions and sound design for projection mapping.
Bilderraus
On September 23, 2011, in collaboration with the Peace of Utrecht and Born Digital, the z25.org Foundation managed to create a fantastic projection map on the Dom in Utrecht.
The z25.org foundation storms the cathedral square in their 'Bilderraus'. Together with a diverse group of artists, they use new projection mapping techniques to show the Cathedral in a completely new light. The techniques were co-developed by Aldo Hoeben.Participating Artists:

After 2011's edition of 'VJ op de Dom' z25 was asked to once more create a production for this event hosted in the centre of Utrecht, The Netherlands. As a sequel to Bilderraus, in this production the surroundings were also embraced by controlling all lighting and thus creating a complete emersive show.
All artists were asked to use the mythological story of the Tower of Babel combined with modern international politics as an inspirational theme. With the diverse content created by the artists a recurring constructing and imploding storyline is shown.

Born Digital
VJ On Tour
Thursday night, March 26th, 2015, the residents of Utrecht celebrated the kick-off of the 100-day program towards the start of the Tour de France in Utrecht with VJ On Tour. VJ on Tour was a large-scale projection mapping event on the building and stairway of the Utrecht city office. The evening was led by Born Digital; 50 artists performed an audiovisual show with 11 mega projectors, adding up to 180.000 lumens of illumination. The event also marks the festive public opening of the new City Office.
I worked on the sound for two performances. One by Anne Gentenaar, combining projection mapping and dance performed by the dancers of Brotherhood. The piece was titled: Modular_Racer.
The other performance I worked on was a collaboration between visual artist Born Digital (Martin Boverhof), a BMX cyclist (Sietse van Berkel) and myself. We wired up the bike of Sietse which made it possible for him to influence parts of the music through movement.
